Learn About CCC Occupational Studies Opportunities at Open House

Anyone interested in jump-starting a career with just six to 10 months of training at about half the cost of local for-profit trade schools is welcome to explore the occupational studies options available through the Technical Institute of Camden County College. An open house will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 14.

Registration is now available for courses in more than a dozen occupational training programs. During the open house, prospective students will learn about these programs, which include automotive collision and repair; automotive technology; carpentry; certified medical assistant; cosmetology; culinary arts/restaurant operations; dialysis technician; electrical technology; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; plumbing; water and wastewater management; welding; and electrical, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning apprenticeships.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet program instructors and Technical Institute staff. Tours of classrooms and labs will be available as well.

Refreshments will be provided by current culinary arts students, and hand massages will be given by current cosmetology students. Current medical assistant students will check vitals.

Course sessions begin at various dates this fall. Daytime and evening classes are available and feature small sizes, usually only 10 to 20 students per class. Graduates receive completion certificates from Camden County College along with their industry certifications. Some programs also offer college credits that may be applied to further study in CCC associate degree programs.

Instant admissions and enrollment will be available during the open house. Students also will have the option of signing up for a convenient extended-payment plan.

The open house will take place in the cafetorium of Building 4 on the Camden County Technical Schools campus at 343 Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Sicklerville, Winslow Township.
