Free Night of Poetry, Music and Culture Sponsored by Commission, Katz JCC
The Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Camden County College is joining again with the Betty and Milton Katz Jewish Community Center to present the seventh annual “The Gray in Between Black and White,” an evening of poetry, music and culture.
“The Gray in Between Black and White” will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7. The free, public program will once again be held at the Katz Jewish Community Center, located at 1301 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill.
The night will focus on contrast and harmony and will feature music by percussionist Anthony Mohamed and other performers that will be a blend of West African, Afro-Cuban, classical and contemporary jazz. Also bringing rhythm and energy to the event will be a number of poets presenting various styles of verse. The program was made possible in part by funds provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency with the National Endowment for the Arts.
Although admission is free and open to the public, limited space means that registration is recommended. For further details or to register, contact the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Camden County College by telephone at (856) 227-7200, ext. 4063, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
