Full-Time CCC Students Now Eligible for Discounted NJ Transit Bus Pass
Full-time Camden County College students who use public transportation may now travel to and from the College’s campus locations for less money, thanks to a NJ Transit discount pass for which they just became eligible.
This monthly pass, which NJ Transit has offered for several years, is available for the sole purpose of attending school. It may be used to travel only to and from the stations/stops that are signed up for and indicated on the pass itself.
Station-to-station and point-to-point trip planners are available through NJ Transit. A NJ Transit Itinerary Planner also is available to help travelers create a customized trip plan.
All student-pass applications will be reviewed to ensure compliance with NJ Transit policy. Presentation of student identification will be required upon request to NJ Transit personnel or representatives.
Students must sign up for their discount passes by the 10th of the month to receive them for the following month. For example, to receive a pass for December, a student would have to apply by Nov. 10.
“The College has been working to take advantage of the NJ Transit discount for many years, and we’re so glad this pass program can finally be offered to our students,” said Jacqueline Tenuto, assistant to the dean of students at CCC. “I know this is a big deal for them.”
