Mandatory Workshop for Local Arts Program Grant Applicants Set
A mandatory workshop has been scheduled for local organizations that will be applying for the Local Arts Program (LAP) Grants that will be awarded by the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Camden County College for 2013.
The session will take place starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 16. It will be conducted in the Forum of the Connector Building, which is located on the College’s Blackwood Campus at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township.
Any entity applying for a LAP Grant must send at least one representative to the workshop in order for its application to be considered. This is true even for those organizations that are current, past and/or longtime recipients of the Cultural and Heritage Commission LAP funding, which is available due to monies provided to the Commission by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
During the session, attendees will review the new application and receive instructions on how to best complete it. Also covered will be the criteria that will be used to evaluate each application and determine who receives funding.
“Funding is limited as well as extremely competitive this year,” said Cultural and Heritage Commission executive director Sandra Turner-Barnes. “During this session, I will answer all attendee questions and assist applicants in completing their applications properly.”
Light refreshments will be served.
To register for the LAP Grant workshop or for additional information, contact Turner-Barnes by telephone at (856) 227-7200, ext. 4063, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
