Tee Off with Former Eagles Quick and Fryar at CCC Golf Fundraiser

Former Philadelphia Eagles Mike Quick and Irving Fryar will help local golfers help the students of Camden County College when they tee off at the Camden County College Foundation’s College Classic at Riverwinds on Sept. 26.

Golfers will compete for prizes in numerous categories. All proceeds will benefit the Camden County College Foundation’s Student Scholarship Fund, which has awarded more than 1,000 scholarships to students since 2000.

Registration begins at 7 a.m., and play will commence with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. A luncheon featuring awards, raffles and a silent auction of professional sports memorabilia will follow immediately after play has concluded.

Cost for the day is $125 per golfer, with a special rate of $110 rate available to Camden County College students and alumni. Included are greens fees, cart use, gift bags, on-course snacks and the luncheon, which will feature a complimentary beer bar. During play, a cash bar will be available.

In addition to the per golfer rates, group sponsorship packages that include player slots and various levels of signage and special recognition are available. These are the $750 Birdie Package, the $1,000 Eagle Package, the $1,500 Double Eagle Package and the $3,000 Ace Package.

Other partnership opportunities include sponsorships for the luncheon, carts, the putting contest, pin flags and tee signs. Among those already signed on to sponsor the event are Ace sponsor Barnes & Noble College Bookstores as well as AMSAN; Archer & Greiner, P.C.; Atlantic City Electric; Bowman & Company, LLP;  HR&S Financial Services, LLC; Modis; PSEG; R. Fanelle’s Sons; Sodexo; Take A Break Vending; TD Bank; Verizon; and VITETTA Architects & Engineers.

Ron Jaworski’s Riverwinds Golf and Tennis Club, located at 270 Eagle Point Road in West Deptford Township, was voted one of the “Best Places to Play in New Jersey” by Golf Week in 2009. The links-style course sits along the banks of the Delaware River and offers an impressive view of the Philadelphia skyline.
