CCC Accepting Nominees for Outstanding Alumni Award, Alumni Hall

There’s still time for you to nominate an alumna or alumnus of your choice – even yourself – for the two honors that are being bestowed upon former Camden County College students this year.

Being accepted through March 1 are nominations for the 2011 Outstanding Alumna/Alumnus Award, which will be presented to one recipient this year, and nominations for the new Hall of Distinguished Alumni, which will include numerous inductees this year.

Presented at commencement annually since 2008, the Outstanding Alumna/Alumnus Award recognizes CCC graduates who have completed an associate degree or a certificate at the College. Candidates for this award must have made significant professional or vocational achievements and been acknowledged for their expertise or for making substantial community contributions.

The newly established Hall of Distinguished Alumni will recognize other former students who have completed at least 30 academic credits at CCC. Candidates for this honor must have distinguished themselves professionally or in the community since leaving the College.

Nominations for both forms of recognition will be accepted from anyone who would like to make them, and this does include alumni who would like to submit self-nominations. In addition, officials are interested in hearing how prior recipients of CCC alumni awards have been doing in the years since they were honored by the College.

Submissions are being accepted online at www.camdencc.edu/alumni. Nominators must provide their own names and contact information along with the nominee’s name and other details.

All information will be kept confidential. All nominations must be received by March 1 to be considered.

Potential nominators – as well as previous honorees who would like to update the College on their accomplishments since receiving their awards – may contact development associate Melissa Daly in CCC’s Office of Foundation and Alumni Relations by telephone at (856) 374-4946 or via e-mail at mdaly@camdencc.edu.
