NJBIA Basic Skills Training:
Now in its 7th year, NJBIA Basic Skills Training has been made available through a partnership between the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development, and the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
Requirements: To attend this free training, you must be currently employed in the state of New Jersey. Public employees and those who are unemployed, are not eligible to participate. Classes sell out quickly and are reserved on a first come, first serve basis.
Training programs include:
Communications – Verbal & Written
Customer Service
English as a Second Language
Spanish in the Workplace
Mathematics and Measurement
Classes Dedicated for Your Organization- For a dedicated class, a minimum of 10 employees must attend and complete the required hours for each course. Classes can be delivered at your site, or at any of our campus locations. Times and dates are flexible and designed to suit your needs.
