Music & Voice Production Camp – In Front & Behind the Scenes (Ages 10-15)

This one-of-a-kind camp is designed to offer campers a different and exciting experience each day by introducing them to the amazing world of the music industry. Campers will have a blast developing their skills in Songwriting, Music Recording, Voice-overs and Audio Equipment Operation. Campers can do it all or choose their area of interest. They can create their very own songs and voice scripts and work interchangeably as both talent and/or crew on fun projects such as Voice Commercials, TV/Radio Announcements and even recording their very own hit song! It isn't often that a child can say they had a hand in fully producing a song from start to finish and have a copy of that song to share with friends and family for years to come. Campers will receive one audio CD at the end of the camp that contains all of their camp recordings – Musical Project, Voice-Overs, etc. The cost of this CD is included with the camp fee.
Cost: $345 Blackwood Campus

TV Hosting/News Anchoring Camp (Ages 10-15)
Does your child enjoy creating characters like their favorite TV personalities? This camp is designed so that campers start the fun developing their own stories by researching current events in the news and entertainment world. (Many young journalists make up their own exciting news.) Next, teams are developed and kids will work as hosts, reporters, camera operators and directors by delivering under 'deadlines' just like the pros. We have a full lineup of News Anchoring and Hosting projects and kids deliver their reports ranging from serious to hysterically off the wall funny (campers choice, of course). Projects change daily: Talk Shows, Sports Announcing, Weather, Consumer Reports, Medical Reports, Field and Traffic Reporting and TV Hosting in Music, Entertainment, Cooking, Decorating and Home Shopping formats. This camp was designed by local casting director, Kathy Wickline, who holds over 10,000 casting credits including Academy Award winning films and commercials. The camp will be taught by industry professionals working with Kathy. Upon completion of this camp, all original footage will be sent to a professional editor for creation of a DVD. Optional orders for purchase of the DVD will be taken from campers.

This camp is for the aspiring young 'stars' in your household. It is here they will learn real auditioning skills by working with scripts for commercials and film readings. In this camp, your child will learn how to characterize and follow direction, block for camera, and read with their "co-stars." Improvisation and ad-libbing (off the script) will be taught as a basis of creating characters and trusting instincts. One of the quickest ways to gain experience in this industry is by doing 'extra' work otherwise known as a "Background Artists."
