Dear Prospective Graduate, Parents, Family and Friends:
The entire Camden County College community applauds the accomplishments of the Class of 2015 and extends congratulations for the successes that have brought its members to graduation and the College’s 47th annual Commencement.
This year’s ceremony will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, in the Truman Courtyard of the Blackwood Campus. The campus is located at College Drive and Peter Cheeseman Road in Gloucester Township.
Please review the contents of this newsletter for information about attending the ceremony as well as for details regarding other activities associated with graduation.

Graduation requirements include:
• Completion of all academic program requirements in January, June or August 2015
• Graduation packet filed and approved by the appropriate dean by April 1
• A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0
• Any outstanding College debts satisfied
• A College ID is required to receive a cap and gown at any location
Graduates: Your participation in the commencement ceremony is greatly encouraged, even though you may have already received your diploma. If you plan to participate, you are required to wear a cap and gown. Caps and Gowns will be available for purchase at any of the three campus bookstores beginning April 6th. The cost will be $37.00. Students may pay by cash or major credit card, no checks will be accepted.
Graduates who are members of honor societies are permitted to wear ornamentation designated and approved for their specific honor society. Please check with your Honor society advisor for the specific items that have been approved as commencement attire.
Graduates may not decorate their caps with personal messages. (See Official Academic Regalia for Graduating students.
Each graduate will receive four complimentary announcements when purchasing your cap and gown, while supplies last.
These announcements are not required for admission to the commencement ceremony. There are no tickets for commencement, and graduates may have as many family members and friends in the audience as they desire.
The graduation dinner will be held Thursday, May 14 at The Palace, 109 N. Black Horse Pike Blackwood, New Jersey. You will have a choice of three entrées. A welcome reception starts at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Dinner attire is suggested. Tickets are limited and must be purchased by May 8, 2015. Directions to The Palace will be provided at the time of ticket purchase. You will be asked to select an entrée when tickets are purchased.

Your attendance at rehearsal is strongly suggested. Rehearsal will be held Friday, May 15, 10 a.m. Graduates will assemble in the Papiano Gymnasium. Please be prompt.
Transportation to the rehearsal will be provided between the Camden City and Blackwood Campuses. A van will depart from Camden City Campus at 9:15 a.m. and return to the Camden City Campus upon completion of the rehearsal. Sign up at Camden Technology Center, Room 211, or call (856) 968-1320.
If a final exam prevents you from attending the commencement rehearsal, please arrive in the Papiano Gymnasium by 8:30 am on the day of commencement.
The CCC Alumni Association is a vital link between the College, its alumni and the community it serves. As you graduate, you join the ranks of more than 30,000 graduates who claim Camden County College as their alma mater.

Eligible academic year 2014-2015 graduates (August 2014, January 2015, and June 2015) may be considered for election to the College Board of Trustees as a non-voting member. The Alumni Trustee serves a one-year term of office beginning in September of each year.

At commencement rehearsal you will be asked to vote for student who was nominated for this privilege. Candidate information, voting deadlines and voting instructions will be available on this page.
• Demonstrated high academic achievement,
• Active participation in College activities and in community service,
• Willingness to carry out the responsibilities of serving on the Board of Trustees, and
• Recommendation by a College faculty member or administrator.
Camden County College will be sharing interesting information and statistics about the Class of 2015 with local print, electronic and online media. To help the Office of Media Relations with this task, please complete and submit the Graduating Student Questionnaire that is included in the graduation application packet.

The Career Services Office is here to assist you with your job search needs and will be running a series of information sessions that will cover such topics as:
• Resume and cover letter writing
• Interviewing techniques
• Job trends and projections
• Getting the most out of a job fair
• Networking, websites and professionalism and much more.
All graduates will receive additional information regarding the information sessions dates, times and locations as well as how to register via student e-mail.

Public Safety Announcement
Due to safety considerations, no backpacks or large bags will be permitted in or near the graduation site in Truman Courtyard.
In keeping with the formality of this occasion, all cell phones and other similar devices should be silenced.
The Connector Café, located in the Connector Building, will be open for business with coffee service and assorted pastries prior to the commencement ceremony.
For your convenience, the college bookstore will be open from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on commencement day for the purchase of flowers, balloons and other memorabilia.

At the commencement ceremony, diploma sleeves will be distributed instead of diplomas. You will be notified via postcard when to come to the Office of Admissions, Records and Registration Services to pick up your actual diploma (on or about August 15). Diploma covers and diploma frames will be available for sale in the College bookstores and at the commencement ceremony bookstore sales tent.
Commencement Day Schedule
Commencement is a dignified occasion. We ask that those attending the ceremony conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. The College community appreciates your cooperation. We ask graduates to report to the Papiano Gymnasium.
The schedule is as follows:
|8:30 - 9 a.m.
|| Check in and pick up your graduation ID card.
|| Graduates line up by academic division. Signs will be posted in the gymnasium.
|| Recession (Please plan to stay for the entire event.)
Graduates will recess to the Presidential Courtyard. Please ask your family and friends to meet you in that area after all the graduates have walked out of the event tent.
Special Needs Seating
To assist individuals who require sign language interpreters, please contact Kathy Earp at (856) 227-7200, ext. 4255 or Cathy Poston at ext. 4506 to reserve a seat for themselves and one guest.
Guests who use wheelchairs also may request special seating (for themselves and one other person) in advance. These requests must be made by calling Jackie Tenuto at (856) 374-5088 no later than May 8, 2015.
Viewing the Ceremony
No tickets are required. General, unreserved seating for guests of graduating students is available on a first-come, first-served basis under and surrounding the event tent. The ceremony also will be simulcast inside Civic Hall, located in the Connector Building.
Stations are available in the Papiano Gymnasium and Otto R. Mauke Community Center restrooms.
Commencement will be held under a large, weatherproof tent and will not be postponed due to inclement weather. However, should extreme circumstances arise that may cause a delay or postponement, a notice will be made to KYW 1060 AM by 8 a.m. on May 16.
