CTEP Grant: Human Services Career Cluster Advisory Committee
The CTEP Grant: Human Services Career Cluster Advisory Committee is charged to guide the Statewide effort of preparing all high schools students in Human Service programs for a seamless transition into entry-level careers and education programs through engagement in rigorous and relevant learning experiences and credential obtainment. Committee consists of educators and administrators from secondary and postsecondary institutions throughout the State, Workforce Development Boards, business and industry leaders, student leadership organizations, and professional credentialing and membership organizations.
The Advisory Committee has three major roles:
To Advise – The advisory committee assesses specific areas of the career and technical education programs and makes suggestions and recommendations focused on ways to improve areas of need and/or opportunity.
To Assist – The advisory committee helps with the judging of competitive skill events, setting up a scholarship program or obtaining media coverage for special events.
To Support and Advocate – The advisory committee promotes the career and technical education program throughout the organizations or institutions they represent.
